Scooby-Doo – 1980s Nighttime Drama Concept
Scooby-Doo – 1980s Nighttime Drama Concept
Role: Creative Director, Visual Designer, Motion Editor, Sound Designer
Tools Used: MidJourney, Kling AI, Hailuo, White Bat Audio (Karl Casey)
What if Scooby-Doo traded Saturday morning cartoons for late-night 80s drama? I reimagined the Mystery Gang in a darker, synth-driven world — one filled with foggy alleyways, neon lighting, and emotionally charged suspense. This isn’t the slapstick version. It’s a nostalgic twist that asks: what if Scooby-Doo was an 80s prime-time series?
Using MidJourney, I created stylized character visuals that channel classic 80s teen drama aesthetics. I then brought them to life in Kling AI, with animation that emphasizes dramatic lighting and subtle, brooding motion. Hailuo helped refine expressive movement, while music from White Bat Audio’s Karl Casey added the perfect synthwave tension to complete the tone.
