I THREW 70 YARDS AT THE 49ERS CAMP

Dr Disrespect x San Francisco 49ers – 70 Yard Throw at Training Camp

Role: Cinematographer, Editor, Sketch Writer, Brand Liaison, On-Site Creative Lead

For this high-profile collaboration between Dr Disrespect and the San Francisco 49ers, I was deeply involved in both the creative and technical sides of production. As part of a split team, I filmed and edited key segments of the project, handled graphic overlays and lower thirds, and co-led the creative scripting of multiple skits and narrative beats.

I traveled on location to support the shoot, worked directly with the 49ers media liaisons, and ensured all branding and promotional materials met the team’s standards. From camera framing to sketch writing, I helped bring the project to life with a mix of precision and humor — including hand-drawing the now-iconic stick figure illustration featured in the final cut.

Responsibilities:

  • Filmed and edited multiple scenes throughout the project as part of a shared production workflow

  • Created lower third graphics and overlays to match the tone and visual identity of both Doc and the 49ers

  • Wrote full sketches used in the video, balancing humor with storyline structure

  • Coordinated with the 49ers’ internal media and PR teams to lock in brand alignment and promotional usage

  • Managed camera framing, B-roll planning, and on-site creative support throughout the shoot

Outcome:

  • Delivered a cinematic and comedic sports crossover moment that resonated with both Doc’s audience and 49ers fans

  • Maintained consistent visual and narrative tone across a complex multi-day shoot

  • Strengthened relationships with external stakeholders through on-site professionalism and brand fluency

  • Brought fan-favorite moments to life with creative storytelling and iconic visual details
