YouTube Thumbnail Design — Caramel Hydra (Fortnite “Super” Livestream)

This thumbnail was created for a new client, Caramel Hydra, a Fortnite streamer looking to level up his YouTube presence. For his “Fortnite Super” livestream and VOD, he wanted something that stood out from the sea of reused assets and AI-lookalike designs—a thumbnail that was bold, custom, and unmistakably his.

My approach:

  • Original Artwork: I reworked Fortnite’s 2025 Superman skin by customizing facial elements and the chest emblem for a completely unique look that feels both familiar and personal to the client’s brand.

  • Personality-Driven Editing: I incorporated high-res webcam grabs of Caramel Hydra, enhancing facial details, expression, and lighting to give the thumbnail more depth and emotional pull.

  • Optimized for Engagement: With a vibrant layout, strong color contrast, and intentional visual hierarchy, the thumbnail was built to maximize clicks from both homepage viewers and mobile users.

This is the first of several thumbnails I’m creating for Caramel Hydra, with more to be added as we build out his visual identity across livestreams and VOD content.
